Recap 2018 edition

The III Galician Offshore International Hub included the participation of more than 300 international, galician, spanish and european profesionals. The assistants could visit the Navantia facilities and participate in the conferences given by international and national experts. It is significant to mention that between 2017 and 2020 will be mobilised 24 trillion euros and it will be held more tha 287.000 jobs which will imply 600.000 job vacancies associated to this activity.

At the closing ceremony assists the counselor of Economy, employment and industry of Xunta de Galicia, Francisco Conde, who placed Galicia as an international reference in the offshore wind energy field.

II Edition Galician Offshore International HUB 2017


The second edition of Galician Offshore International HUB has repeated the sucess of the first edition with more tan 300 participants. In this edition the new line of action of the sector, the floating wind offshore, had special prominence. In the event, were presented the progress of Wikinger and Hywind projects. About the first project was highlighted the participation of Navantia and Windar with the building of 29 jackets whom represent a global level great stake on a business park as the one in the Baltic. The projects of Hywind, Navantia and Windar had played a significant role whereby will be given energy to 20.000 houses this fact put on record the prominence of the floating offshore. One more time was emphasized the fact that the future of naval sector lies in the offshore wind industry and in the offshore building.

I Edition Galician Offshore International HUB 2016


The first edition of Galician Offshore International HUB had welcomed more tan 300 international professionals. The event has been atended by galician and spanish  companies related with offshore wind industry. In this edition were presented projects developed by Navantia and Windar for Iberdrola and Statoil. The data given in this edition highlighted that offshore wind energy industry implies 11.027 MW, 3.230 wind turbines installed in 82 areas implying 46,5 trillion euros between the years 2010-2015 of financing in new assets. As economic data is worth stressing that  in the year 2015 were obtained 13 trillion euros of financing and 754 turbines.
